Recruiting
Member
Responsibilities
We
can be sure that, in the Catholic Church, the Pope prays every day --
several times per day. We cannot at all be sure that every person
who would allow the label "Catholic" be applied to him actually "prays"
every day.
But, surely, within the teachings of the Catholic Church a
"good Catholic" should pray
daily, or often.
In this Church, you can be sure that many of the Members
pray every day, perhaps even most. Most Members of this Church are also
members of some other church -- there are many religious faiths among our
Membership. The beliefs of this Church conflict in no way with any of
these. We do not "teach prayer" but we acknowledge prayer as a fine behavior for
those who wish to do it.
(There are many types of behavior we
denounce -- according to our moral code. For instance we do not applaud
the behavior of drug dealing and would not allow any drug dealer to be a
Member of this Church. We do not "denounce" prayer, rather we
acknowledge it without teaching it.)
"Prayer" is a central part of the Catholic spiritual
technology -- perhaps called the "dogma" of that church.
It is NOT any part of the teachings of THIS Church.
But,
there are certain "behaviors" that are central to the existence and purpose of
this Church.
Every Member, from the most senior Minister, to the newest
and lowest level Member, is not just expected, but asked
to prove of certain "behaviors."
Recruiting is one of those "required behaviors."
(Doing good deeds is another -- and "doing
a good deed" may well involve something as simple as digging a ditch!)
Obviously, also, it is easy to measure compliance with this
Recruiting Member Duty.
In
most groups you have a specialization of function -- so that virtually all
commercial organizations have some people who do the selling, and others who do
the bookkeeping.
There is specialization in this Church also -- we certainly
have some bookkeepers and other specialized functions.
But, "recruiting" is not a specialized function -- it is
the duty of every Member of the Church.
In order to become eligible for Level One, you must join in
a campaign, with a monthly cost -- a campaign that is NOT organized or operated
by this Church -- but one which all Members must be a part of. That campaign is
described in more detail HERE.
Briefly, this campaign requires that you
sign up for the monthly delivery of 36 books describing the moral code which
we use, and that you then give them away. The cost of these 36 books is
about $38.25 per month. You get 36 books delivered to you every month --
you give them away to help spread this common sense moral code.
A person would not have to become a
Member of this Church in order to join this Campaign. But, the
eligibility being discussed here IS the recruiting of Members into this Church
with such Membership including a required membership in this campaign.
When you sponsor others to also
join this campaign, you earn a commission on two levels below you
(making it an "Associate" program, not an MLM) and can quickly earn enough to
make the cost of your monthly batch of books come to you at no cost. While you
should not
expect to get rich from participating in this campaign, some will do OK.
After you have achieved Level One Membership, you can
only retain that Level (and higher Levels) by recruiting others (6 per year) into Level One also. That
means that the Church expects you to do all the recruiting for the expansion of
this Church.
No kidding! If you become a Level One
Member, and do not recruit new Members into Level One, you are politely removed
from Level One Membership -- per the rules. The quota is very
modest -- 6 new Members into Level One per year. If, after one year, you
have not recruited 6, then you are removed from the Level One Membership.
No matter what higher Level of Membership
you might attain, there is ALWAYS the requirement that you recruit at least 6
new Members into Level One per year -- or lose your Membership Status.
No hard feelings, it is just that we intend to emphasize
behavior in this Church, not promises or good intentions. Two of those
"behaviors" have to do with joining that campaign, and recruiting others into
this Level. There are more requirements, too. They are all described in
this series of links from the main page of "Qualification for Membership."
Once you look over the requirements, and cost, of joining
in that campaign you should agree that it should be an "easy sell" and an
"inexpensive way" to "do good."
It happens that the campaign we expect you to be a part of
brings no money into this Church and is operated by a 501(c)(3) organization.
When and as you make a contribution to this Church, that is also a tax
deductible expenditure.
The only recruiting you would ever have to do, if you are
content with a Level One Membership, is the one described above.
Other types of recruiting are encouraged, but not required, at higher
levels of Church Membership.
