Articles Of Faith
We of
the Church believe:
- That God exists
- That the characteristics of God are not to be labeled by
man or The Church, but
- That these characteristics are to be discovered by
individual men, and
- That man may seek increased understanding of these
characteristics through personal communication with God, if he wishes, and
- That man may seek the advice and counsel of other men,
but is not obligated to do so
- That man may offer advice and counsel, but is not
obligated to do so
- That man may, but is not obligated to, perform "good
deeds"
- That the Members of This Church do pledge to perform
"Good Deeds"
- That this Pledge constitutes the creation of the Church
- That, in alignment with a man's individual understanding
of the characteristics of God, man judges "good deeds"
- That these good deeds are charitable acts of compassion,
and
- That "good deeds" are further defined by The Church as
within the laws of the country of action
- That "good deeds" are further defined by The Church as
without expectation of earthly compensation
- That "good deeds" are further defined by The Church as
within the informed and conscious prior agreement of any person affected
- That "good deeds" are further defined by The Church as
worthy of public acclaim, even when done anonymously
- That The Church is the earthly vessel which holds and
protects the earthly symbols of God and The Church
- That The Church is the Keeper Of This Faith, and
- That in keeping with its role of Keeper Of The Faith,
- That The Church confers and continues to validate, or
not, Membership in The Church, and
- That The Church may designate and use hierarchies of
Membership and Leadership
- That The Church guards and protects whatever earthly
substance may be entrusted to it
- That The Church expends the earthly substance entrusted
to it for the furtherance of good deeds by the Members
